SPEAKERS - Bio

Based in Bangkok, Matt’s role is to look outside of Amadeus and identify companies in Asia Pacific that have cool technology and great solutions that Amadeus could look to collaborate with to enhance the travel experience.
Originally from the UK, Matt started his career in the travel
industry in London before moving to work for an online travel agency in Australia.
He joined Amadeus Pacific in Sydney in 2005. In 2008 he moved to Bangkok and held a variety of roles before finding his home in the Corporate Strategy; Business Development team where he has been since 2010.
Matt loves technology and gadgets and hopes that one day someone will invent a real flux-capacitor. You can find him searching on Kickstarter for the latest cool invention or dreaming of owning his own vineyard.

Entrepreneur and firmly focused on business, Frédéric pursued for more than 15 years a sales career in France and Asia for several start-ups and consulting firms. Pioneer of the PALO IT adventure, he is enthusiastically leading the activities of PALO IT in France from its Parisian
headquarters.

Nicola Jones-Crossley is the Director of AKIN ASIA - a community organisation that promotes and celebrates female leadership. Having previously worked across a number of different industries she has found that working with and connecting professional women is where she can create impact. For the past two years, Nicola has been coordinating events for women living and working in Bangkok before founding AKIN ASIA in early 2016, with the view to shine a spotlight on and celebrate female entrepreneurs and professionals across Southeast Asia. Last year, Nicola served as Guest Lecturer at the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh where she designed and facilitated professional development curriculum for a diverse range of students. Additionally she worked to deliver an executive female leadership program for Accor Hotels and worked extensively with UNESCO on a project to achieve a greater representation of female expertise in news media.
She holds a Master Trainer Certification from the Institute of Leadership and Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame Australia.

Tanayos is the Human Resources Director of L’Oréal Thailand Ltd. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, he leads and manages the full range of HR functions and also partners with all business divisions to drive employee engagement, morale and organizational performance.
He is responsible for setting up and implementing corporate human capital plans, a task that
includes maintaining and improving employee relations, talent acquisition and development,
succession planning, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, performance
management as well as for overseeing compensation programs, processes and consulting services across multiple divisions. HR branding is also his key focus area that will build company reputation. Another of his duties is to develop sustainable workplace capabilities, promote diversity and inclusion and a motivational culture to meet the goals of L’Oreal’s
sustainable commitment ‘Sharing Beauty with All’.
During his almost 8 years with L’Oréal Thailand and prior to taking up his current position,
Tanayos worked as the HR Business Partner responsible for talent recruitment and employee training in all product divisions and as the Learning for Development Manager with a primary focus on training.
Prior to joining L’Oréal Thailand, Tanayos served as Senior Operation Training Section
Manager for Yum Restaurant International (Thailand), where his duties included directing
leadership courses development for Area Managers. He also had over four years of experience
in food retails and fitness industry in charge of operations and overseeing business.

Tanayos holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs, Second Class Honors, from
Thammasat University and a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from the University of New South Wales.

Henri co-created the FTCC Sustainability & CSR Committee and the multi chamber Sustainability
Committee building from 15 years’ experience and advisory services in social innovation,
inclusiveness and sustainability.
After a 5 years collaboration with Phitrust Partenaires and 9 years in the region Henri has created
and is the CEO of Phitrust Asia a company which is investing in South East Asia in early enterprises which integrate sustainability in their core activities and impact. Phitrust Asia sector focus are healthy food, circular economy, access to energy and sustainable tourism.

Jerome has 10+ years of experience in the field of international education, and human Resources, as he
has helped over 1500+ graduate students start their careers.
He has been working on enhancing the recruitment process through combining human purpose with
corporate capabilities to accelerate productivity.

Anthony has spent the past 15 years working at the forefront of
sustainability. Adept at connecting dots and data to originate
opportunities, he is an incorrigible glass half full eco-preneur.
While based in Canada, he developed CSR strategies for
multinational companies, built low carbon roadmaps in Latin
America, pioneered the country's leading water conference, and
helped cleantech companies with strategies for accessing new
markets.
Since arriving in Asia, he has been helping Canadian cleantech
companies in energy, water and air quality access the dynamic
markets of ASEAN through ACI’s exclusive distribution licenses and
strong networks across the region.
Under Anthony’s leadership, ACI has also built deep expertise
working with global brands to help green the considerable supply
chain here in the region.
Anthony is a member of EuroCham Cambodia’s Green Business
Committee, and is chairing the inaugural Sustainability and Smart
Business Committee of CanCham Thailand.

Gao Li is currently leading Business Optimisation team within Ananda Development, providing leadership in business operations process improvement programs through digitally enable processes, with the objective of simplified user experience; faster, cheaper and better outcomes. He is also involved in establishing strategic intelligence capabilities through analytics and healthcheck dashboards as well as being a Champion for the digital transformation journey.

Prior to joining Ananda, Gao, spends more than 7 years in Deloitte Singapore’s risk practices, where he led and manage a diverse range of strategic and risks consulting projects across multiple industries. His key clients include multi-national pharmaceutical companies, ship building companies, as well as major SOEs in Singapore. Some of these projects include assisting listed companies in SGX to adopt sustainability reporting and compliance checks.

Romaric Ernst graduated with a Master degree from IESEG Business School in
Lille, France.
He joined Schneider Electric Thailand in 2007 and took several positions in the
field of project management for various segments (O&G, Automotive, Data
Center). He then led the Strategy and Business Development department. Since
2017 he is heading the Data Center team as Enterprise Director.
His key focus is to leverage on Schneider Electric comprehensive offer of
equipment, software and services to provide Efficient, Safe, Resilient and
Connected solution to customer with critical infrastructures.

Tanguy Moulin-Fournier has been working in the energy industry for twenty years. He’s currently both the deputy general manager of PTT NGD, a local gas distribution company, and the EVP Gas Asia of ENGIE APAC.
Previously he had been in charge of the External relations of Cameroon LNG, a multi-billion dollar project of
gas liquefaction in Cameroon.
From 2006 to 2011, he’s spent 5 years in Romania as Head of Gaz de France Representative Office and then EVP Strategy for the Southeastern Europe.
He’s graduated from EM Lyon Business school in France.

Somsak “Pai” Boonkam, an Ashoka Fellow and the
founder and CEO of Local Alike, a social enterprise
building an online platform to connect travelers and
locals through meaningful and authentic experiences.
As a social enterprise, Local Alike uses community-
based tourism as a form of development tool to solve
local issues, preserve local culture, and generate
additional income to local communities.
Prior to founding Local Alike, Pai worked at the Mae Fah
Luang Foundation Under Royal Patronage. He was tasked
with business development at Northern Thai communities
under the Doi Tung Development Project.
Pai was born and raised in rural Thailand where he
developed a deep appreciation for the ingenuity of
indigenous culture and the role of sustainable
development. He graduated with an MBA in Sustainability
Management from Presidio Graduate School in San
Francisco, California. Pai has worked in a variety of cross-
cultural settings. His goal is to bring the wisdom of
indigenous people to the mass market in order to develop
sustainable products that have a positive impact on the
society.

Armelle Le Bihan is the founder of Green Building Consulting & Engineering, an
award-winning Thailand based company providing design consultancy for high
performance buildings that improve people's well-being while preserving the
planet.
She is a Environmental Engineer and a Green Building specialist with an expertise
in Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) in Europe and Asia. Passionate about
sustainability and committed in promoting green growth, Armelle pushes
business practices on sustainability forward.

Phawin joined Soneva, the world-leading sustainable luxury resort operator in 2014 after graduated from an Australian university. After working with various departments including Front Office, Sales and Marketing and Villa Ownership, Phawin is now working in Human Resources Department and in charge of Training functions at Soneva Kiri Resort, Thailand.

Thomas Gal, French, holds a Master’s degree as engineer, graduated from the prestigious “Ecole Nationale
Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers”. He began his career with the LAFARGE group (building materials) in 1998. He
has an extensive international background and has worked as plant controller & safety manager in Great
Britain, as industrial development engineer in South Korea and Thailand for 5 years, integrating new Asian
business units in the group. He pursued his career as project manager, quality & process engineer in France.
This experience strengthened his cultural and industrial know-how.
He decided to join the family business in 2007 to gain entrepreneurship experience and pursue the family
business for the second generation. Tout l’Equipement Electrique (TEE) was established in France in 1980
and has continuously developed its expertise in sustainable electrical installations for the past decades in
southern France in the housing & condominium construction area. Thomas has developed the company in
Monaco in the luxury buildings business and TEE recently worked as main electrical installation contractor for
the famous Odeon Tower in Monaco.
His passion for Asia, drives him to create in 2015 Technic Electrical Engineering (Thailand), giving a new
orientation to his company and his life. Now permanently established in Bangkok, he decided to invest the
benefits of his deep knowledge of engineering in industrial domains and construction business for a brighter
future by proposing efficient energy saving solutions to its customers. Thomas is very proud to be part of the
CONTINEWM® energy saving revolution.

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Giffen brings to Synova more than 25 years of experience applying strategic and operational
improvements to private equity investments, including seven years running operations of two
successful management buyouts. Most recently, he served as an operating executive at US$9.6 billion
PE fund Golden Gate Capital, where he focused on conventional and renewable energy. Before that he
was a senior managing director at Evercore Partners, with a focus on energy. He also helped launch
the electric utility practice at Bain & Company, where he was responsible for case teams performing
due diligence and turnaround work for private equity clients. He holds a BBA summacum laude from
Southern Methodist University and a JD from Stanford Law School
